he latest addition to the EOTech HWSfamily are XPS
and EXPS weapon sights for the first time introduced
in 2009 but in the last couple years they were significantly
upgraded with some new features I am going to mention
in this article. But let's start with some theory and history.
HOW IT WORKS
What is the main difference between holographic
weapon sights and red dot sights and how they work?
The red dot sight has an LED emitter which projects
the image of the reticle on the lens and the reticle
appears to be on target and in physics it is called
collimation. Basically, holographic sight is also a col-
limated sight, but the reticle is a three-dimensional
hologram projected by laser diode
Choice between red dot sight and holographic sight
is an individual thing based on requirements and ex-
pectations of the users. Both types of sights allow
for fast aiming with both eyes opened. The EOTech
