For a couple of years we have been using different opto-
electronic sights on our rifles: Aimpoint, Holosun, Vortex,
Meprolight, Elcan and, of course, EOTech.
There was an old gen EXPS3-0 in tan (with old type logo)
with G.33 magnifier and a surplus 552. Year or so ago,
EOTech sent us XPS2-0 GRN and HHS combo (EXPS2-
0GRN + G.33) with green reticle. And just recently, the
bunch of good guys from Michigan sent us three sets
of tanodized EXPS3-0 and G.33 combos. Well, we all dig
these sights mostly because of the huge field of view
and simple reticle with 68 MOA ring, two stadias and sin-
gle 1 MOA dot. The dot is zeroed at 50 meters and 200
meters and the lower stadia is 7 meters. The -0 reticle
can be acquired way faster than just a dot. It can also
be used for adjustment and even a simple rangefinder.
Sure, some will complain that the dot blocks the tar-
get. The reticle has 20 day adjustment settings (XPS2/
EXPS2) and optional 10 night vision settings (XPS3/
EXPS3). The control buttons are tactile and large enough
to work conveniently when wearing gloves. XPS are fully
ambidextrous since the control panel is located on the
rear but the controls collide with the magnifier. The EXPS
has controls on the left, so the controls are not interfering
