inium frames, impact resistant polycarbonate lenses and stainless steel nickel plated barrel hinges. Each model is available in multiple color variants and there are some limited editions with Cerakote coated frames or logos in totally different colors. LENSES Gatorz utilize impact resistant polycarbonate Tru- -Ray lenses for high resolution non-distorted vision. 100% UV protective lenses are additionally coated for improved scratch resistance and also feature hy- drophobic coating that repels water, sweat and other liquid and oleophobic coating that repels grease and oil (these were bikers glasses, remember?). There are a couple different lens colors available, to include pola- rized and Inferno photochromic lenses changing their colour automatically in the daylight. You could jump out of the plane and then slay dragons on the ground. Aircraft aluminium tem- ples were flat and comfortable under the helmets and comm headsets. Gatorz quickly became SEALs favo- urites and other SOF members were also purchasing them. I guess only "The Big O'' is more popular in ope- rator communities. Gatorz Eyewear has been in the market for more than 30 years but in its current portfolio there are only four models. Not so much when compared to other tactical eyewear brands. In Fall 2019, Gatorz reps send us three types of their eyewear: Magnum, Boxter and Wraptor. They are slightly different but they all share the same DNA: ultra-durable 7075 aircraft grade alum- EYEWEAR GATORZ www.fragoutmag.com
