Our chat could be longer but a couple minutes after 0900 AM the phone is ringing. RATOWNIK 12 picks the phone immediately. During the short conversation, following information is passed down: type of mission, status of the patient, type of the incident and the location. This allows us to find the best possible flight path. This call is about the sudden change of the medical condition of the patient from Ostrów Mazowiecki and the urgent transport to the hospital in Warsaw is required. This means an EMS mission. The clock is ticking. We have 15 minutes to launch the helicopter and fly. Everyone takes his flyer's helmet and rushes to the helicopter. After 10 minutes we are airborne. We announce our callsign in the radio network, which gives us priority in all the zones. We reach 1000 feet altitude and the pilot switches the autopilot, so the computer "takes the wheel". Pilot just observes the flight parameters and avionics. AVIATION
