The weight of the complete handguard was
about 150 grams less than legacy wooden
one which came with my AKSU.
The handguard was polished and hard-an-
odized to the flat black color. It looks out-
standing and it is now protected against im-
pacts, etc. The geometry of the handguard
fits the shape of the rifle perfectly and is
connected to the gun in the very same loca-
tions as the wooden handguard. The number
of contact points between barrel and hand-
guard is kept to the minimum, so it won't
heat up rapidly even during the intensive fire.
As small as it is, it still has a number of
M-LOK slots for additional accessories on
the side. This increases the overall modu-
larity of the handguard and allows to attach
the remote switch in the middle of the hand-
guard. Maybe I shouldn't tell you that, but
I have never seen a M-LOK Krinkov hand-
guard with so many attachment points as
ours.
