The Aimpoint CompM series has gained huge popularity among the profes-
sional users mostly due to its ruggedness and extremely long battery life.
The legacy
Aimpoint CompM was unveiled in 1997 and was quickly adopted
by the US Armed Forces as the M68 CCO. This was a groundbreaking moment
for the Swedish company. The CompM2 joined the family in 2000 and then in
2007, the CompM4 was launched. We had to wait a while for the 5th genera-
tion, because CompM5 hit the market almost 11 years later, in 2018.
