To that moment, all the underwater opera- tions with divers (underwater engineering, works under the hulls, etc.) required above the water safety leash. Rembisz had to get approval for change in the regulations, so the diver buddy teams could work under- water Another problem was the equipment. There were only open-circuit breathing apparatus available and the suits which were com- pletely useless for combat divers. Divers had to invent their own gear. First Rem- bisz's wetsuit was sewn by his wife. Anoth- er suit he built himself to show the tailors how the proper suit should look like. There were some R&D works launched, unfortu- nately mostly without success. One of the projects was the "Blotniak" underwater vehicle developed for Formoza in the Naval REPORT
