or, another way around, making it impossible for the trainee to carry out some procedures (e.g. extending the launcher tube). Is this a dead-end? No. This is where the RPG Cv-75 appears. It is a weapon that accurately replicates the RPG-75 anti-tank grenade launchers, to teach the handling of the weapon (pre- paratory steps), and to properly assume the shooting position and use the sight. Furthermore, the training variant weight is the same as in the case of the live version. RPG Cv-75 makes it possible to carry out the complete train- ing cycle at a pistol shooting range (indoor ranges as well), it fires popular pistol rounds. The weapon uses a special purpose insert-barrel placed inside the launcher tube. It also features a heavy dummy nozzle. This element, along with the insert, makes the trainer as heavy as the original. The nozzle element features a special cut-out that makes it possible to fire the round with the use of the launcher's firing pin. The mechanism itself has been redesigned so that the firing pin could fire the round placed in the central axis of the launcher. For that rea- son, the striker mechanism had to be extended, with a greater motion range. When released it rotates by 270 degrees. 180 degrees movement is what we see in the combat variant, as the live warhead primer is placed on the upper portion of the nozzle. For the user, this has no significance, as the striker mechanism function is identical. To take a shot one needs to remove the safety pin, change the position of the safety switch and move the trigger rail with the use of the thumb. Preparing the training system for the shot boils down to ex- tending the launcher tube to the combat setting, pressing the lock and rotating the nozzle right, and removing it. Then, the bullet needs to be placed in the chamber. Next, the user at- taches the nozzle locking it in the live position. After the nozzle is set in the transport setting, the grenade launcher is ready for training. All of the procedures listed above are carried out by the instructor which means that the trainee gets his hands on an armed grenade launcher in the transport setting. For the trainee, the handling of the launcher is identical to the proce- dure applicable to the combat variant. The trainee needs to extend the launcher tube, lock the nozzle, open the front cover (which raises the front sight), open the rear sight, assume a proper position, aim and shoot. The whole procedure of preparing the trainer device for train- ing (extracting the brass and putting the new bullet in) is rela- tively simple, taking around 30 seconds. The above constitutes a relevant advantage when the RPG-75 trainer is compared to www.fragoutmag.com
