riant. The GD-OTS proposal is the only one NGSW- -AR fed from box magazines instead of belts. Cu- rrently, 20 round magazines are being used and increased capacity ones are still in development. The ammunition for RM277 is known as .277 TVCM. It was specifically developed by True Ve- locity, one of the most experienced polymer-ca- sed ammunition manufacturers. The .277 TVCM rounds have a hybrid case with steel base and shortened neck. It is being estimated that such a solution allows the pressure of 85,000 PSI or more (586MPa) without complicated feeding me- chanisms as in CT fed Textron guns. The ballistic parameters remain unknown for the public, but during trials with XM1186 projectile the muzzle velocity was 960 m/s and higher. In comparison to conventional ammunition with similar perfor- mance, the True Velocity .277 TVCM is 35% li- ghter. The proprietary propellant will decrease the muzzle flash by 30%. The RM277 features a unique-shaped suppres- sor developed by Delta P Design. The patented de- sign allows to decrease the overall length of the device without sacrificing noise, recoil, and mu- zzle flash reduction. The suppressor is 3D printed which significantly increases its durability. The lifespan of the suppressor should be like the bar- rel. Front opening suggests flow-through solution implemented to reduce the gas blowback typical in the suppressors. For the first time, this method was used in the OSS suppressor and there are speculations that Delta P Design licensed this technology from the OSS. www.fragoutmag.com
