Everything comes at a cost - Polish Medical Air Rescue has a tightly set effective levels
related to number of trained students in specific years that must be fulfilled. Eventually
32 pilots must complete the training by the end of 2023. Requirement for the end of
current (2020) year is set to 12 pilots, which is already (August) fulfilled, confirming great
efficiency of this venture. From time to time, there are voices putting into questionable
manner the approach of additional pilots training - however no one knows what will hap-
pen in aviation area in 1, 2 or 3 years. Even current Coronavirus situation is showing how
big and unexpected changes may be introduced. Despite these, it's sure that by having
own fleet and own training system, PMAR ensures their own source of pilots and thanks
to responsible approach, there will always be pilots ready for HEMS flights and to save
people's lives.
