SKELETON ARC Both SF helmets come with the latest Skeleton ARC accessory rails which are made from glass-reinforced polymer. The Skeleton ARC are 100% backward compatible with the legacy ARC rails and all the ac- cessories can be used. New rails are lighter and feature skeletonized design which allows to securely route the cables through them to pre- vent snags (like cable from NVGs to power-pack on the rear). They are also redesigned to accept some new accessories developed for the SF family such as new mandibles. The bungee retention was moved from the side rails to the new Modular Bungee Shroud but there is an ARC Shim accessory which might be used with Skeleton ARCs. Shims are optional but when added below the rails, they create space that enable to attach the mandibles or ballistic appliques. If necessary, the bungee cords might be added to ARC Shim if another type of shroud is attached. Modular Bungee Shroud Both ballistic and non-ballistic shells come with factory pre-dilled 3-point WARCOM hole pattern and new Modular Bungee Shroud. The MBS is a two-part shroud with a polymer outer part which attaches to the shell. It comes with two short bungee cords with safety clips attached perma- nently. The inner part of MBS is CNC-machined aircraft grade aluminum and might be replaced when necessary (when worn-out or when non-stan- dard night vision devices are required). The standard MBS insert is com- patible with such popular mounts as Cadex Low Profile Flip Up, Wilcox L4G24 or Norotos HYPER/AKA2/RHNO II.
