WITPIS [Military Military Institute of Armoured and Automotive Technology], and Politechnika Warszawska [Warsaw University of Technology]. The vehicle was unveiled during the MSPO 2017 as a so-called 'functional model. Currently, the prototype that has been built in 2019 undergoes the preliminary tests - the tests cov- er, among other areas, amphibious performance, and the use of weaponry. The test program is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021. The qualification tests program has been planned to take place in 2022. If completion of the above is successful, it would be possible to negotiate a relevant agreement and prepare the manufacturing. Manufacturing of the first lot of the Borsuk platform could potentially be launched between 2023 and 2024. The military units could take delivery of the new IFVs a year later. ZSSW-30 is to act as the primary armament of the vehicle. Borsuk is an amphibious IFV, of conventional design - similar to other contemporary platforms of its class. The front section of the vehicle houses the 720 HP MTU 8V199 TE20 engine along with the Perkins X300 automatic transmission - both integrated into a coherent powerpack. The powerpack makes the Borsuk IFV an impressive performer, also in an amphibious setting. Be- hind the engine compartment, a three-man crew combat com- partment can be found. Six men are carried in the rear part of the vehicle. The platform is 7.6 meters long, 3.4 meters wide, while the height would depend on the variant. M120G M120G 120 mm mortar on a modified light tracked platform is another new product by HSW S.A. The LPG platform features a hydropneumatic suspension system. The M120G system, mean- while, shall be viewed as an extension of the company-level fire module program tied to M120Gsmg tracked self-propelled Rak mortars. HSW S.A. is also working on the modified LPG chassis - (LPG - Lekkie Podwozie Gąsienicowe, Light Tracked/Continu- ous Track Platform). Let us recall the fact that the M120GSmg Rak platform has successfully passed the qualification tests program. It was qualified, as a prototype, to be handed off for further operations at the Artillery and Armament Training Cen- tre in Toruń. The work on the modified tracked platform that carries the 120 mm M120G Rak mortar system would not dif- fer very much from the existing solutions. HSW will showcase its 120 mm M120G Rak self-propelled mortar during the MSPO 2021 - based on the modified, tracked carrier platform. The mod- ifications include the replacement of the legacy torsion bar sus- pension with a hydropneumatic system. 14 road wheels would be used, instead of 12, along with new support rollers. The floor has also been redesigned, as HSW S.A. departed from using the lower part of the Gvozdika sph hull. An entirely new design was developed from scratch, ensuring higher IED/mine protection 33 www.fragoutmag.com DEFENSE INDUSTRY
