In comparison to conventional ammunition with similar
performance, the True Velocity .277 TVCM is 35% lighter.
The proprietary propellant will decrease the muzzle flash
by 30%.
The RM277 features a unique-shaped suppressor de-
veloped by Delta P Design. The patented design allows
to decrease the overall length of the device without sac-
rificing noise, recoil, and muzzle flash reduction. The
suppressor is 3D printed which significantly increases its
durability. The lifespan of the suppressor should be like
the barrel. Front opening suggests flow-through solution
implemented to reduce the gas blowback typical in the
suppressors. For the first time, this method was used in
the OSS suppressor and there are speculations that Delta
P Design licensed this technology from the OSS.
SIG Sauer
From the technological and design standpoint, the SIG
Sauer NGSW proposals are the most conventional ones,
even abstemious, and definitely not as ambitious as GD-
OTS or Textron ones. This could be both an advantage
and disadvantage for the rising star of New Hampshire.
The company has already won the technologically de-
manding USSOCOM SURG (Suppressed Upper Receiver
Group) program and US Army Modular Handgun System
pistol program with M17 and M18 P320-based pistols.
SIG Sauer is the only NGSW bidder which builds the fire-
arms completely in-house and the existing infrastructure
