The latest members of MWS rifles family are MWS-15 assault rifles, a down-sized variants of MWS-25, cham- bered in 5.56 NATO and .300 Blackout. Rifles will be avail- able in both select-fire for military and law enforcement customers and in semi-automatic for commercial sales. According to ZM Tarnów engineers, around 70% parts of MWS-15 are interchangeable with MWS-25. 5.56 and .300 BLK MWS-15 rifles will benveiled during the MSPO 2021. 60 mm LMP-2017 lightweight infantry mortar The lightweight LMP-2017 mortar was developed by ZM Tarnów in 2017 according to STANAG 4425.2 standard. It fea- tures the 60.7 mm caliber 650 mm barrel. The industrial design is protected with a European Union Intellectual Property Office certificate. Since the Polish Armed Forces did not implement STANAG 4425.2 standard to this moment, the mortars were re- designed to be compatible with "Polish 60 mm" mortar rounds (59.4 mm in fact) currently used with 60 mm LM-60D and LM- 60K mortars. For other customers, the LMP-2017 is offered in NATO 60 mm variant for capability with almost every type of 60 mm mortar rounds (from 1.3 to 2.3 kg). Caliber change requires only to replace the barrels. The mortar is made from titanium, polymers and high-quality steel makes the LMP-2017 a very versatile and portable support weapon for infantry units. Since 2019, ZMT delivered more than 400 LMP-2017 mortars to WOT units and now the company is actively seeking for new markets for this unique product. Mortar is simple and intuitive to use and does not require lengthy training. In 2020 over instructors were trained in WOT Training Center and all training firings were conducted with live ammunition. The LMP-2017 is the first of a new 60 mm mortars family planned by ZMT. The experience gained during the service of LM- 60D mortars and intensive use of LMP-2017 was a bedrock to the design of new infantry support weapon systems. Main R&D programs are now focused on modular 60.7 mm mortar with 3,000 m effective range (with bipod and mortar plate) or 1,500 m range (without bipod and with small mortar plate). Another project is a new system of effective in-direct fire for small-unit commanders. 59 www.fragoutmag.com DEFENSE INDUSTRY
