Works 11 is also a representative of French Nexter Systems and one of the most interesting of its products presented was the 20 mm M621 automatic cannon. Blow-back operated M621 is well-known for its high accuracy, light weight and superior flexibility and operational effectiveness. The effective range of M621 is 2,000 m and its rate of fire is around 750- 800 rounds per minute. The effective range and terminal effect of the M621 is significantly higher than that of a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun while retaining similar dimensions, mass and recoil forces. It is now available in multiple variants, including turreted THL20 for helicopters, NC 621 pod variant for helicopters and light aircraft, SH20 retractable door mount for rotary aircraft CP20 pintle-mounted version for vehicles and small boats, 15A naval version and in the NARWHAL remote control version for vessels. The P20 mount is designed to provide open-top or lightly armored vehicles with a stand-off fire support capability, allowing to engage targets from out of enemy machine gun range. The P20 can be mounted on all types of vehicles using an interface support. Installation is fast, easy and requires no special tooling. Its versatility can be further enhanced by the fact that it can be easily removed and quickly installed on a standard tripod. The Nexter M621 is widely adopted on land, naval and aerial platforms and has proven its reliability, as well as simplicity of use and maintenance. Since 2019 M621 are being used by Polish GROM SMU (at least two systems) and since 2020 by German KSK. Other products presented during MSPO 2021 was a wide range of firearms such as Slovenian Arex Defense Delta Gen. 2 9 mm Parabellum striker-fired pistols in all three sizes (M, L and X), also in factory Optics Ready versions for MRDS attachment, the upgraded variants of 7.62 mm M240 and M60E6 machine guns and .50 cal M2 and M3 heavy machine guns from US Ordnance from United States. Works 11 also offers small arms ammunition such ICC Ammo frangible rounds of 9 mm and 5.56 mm M-TX force-on-force training marking rounds from Arex Defense. FALCOM FalCom is a totally new hearing protection and communications headset brand established by GN Hearing (these guys have been manufacturing hearing aids for many years and are owners of famous Jabra earphones). Currently there are two headsets available - the classic "muffs-style" OTE2000 with boom mike and in-the-ear ITE2000. They can be connected to single-com MFC1000 (one radio but dual channel) or dual-com MF2000 (up to four channels and two radios) control units which are doing the magic - they protect the hearing and amplify the sounds you want to hear. Advanced 3D technology helps warfighters operate in multi- channel radio set ups. In the future we will be able to increase the efficiency of the warfighter even more using this technology. Currently, the FALCOM OTE2000 are being evaluated by the US Army together with Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) goggles. INVISIO Another hearing protection and communication headset company, the INVISIO, was focused on their latest T7 headset and Gen II control units. The INVISIO T7 is a lightweight and submersible hearing protection headset available in three interchangeable variants. The T7 is submersible to 10 meters and extremely rugged making it ideal for use in demanding environments. It is powered and controlled by an INVISIO control unit, making it easy to use and lightweight while featuring great situational awareness. The T7 headset is powered from the radio system. AIRBOSS DEFENSE GROUP This US-Canadian company is an expert in the CBRN field. The most interesting addition to its portfolio is low-profile LBM (Low Burden Mask) gas mask. It is lightweight and designed for seamless integration with ballistic protection and firearms. LBM features dual NATO 40 mm filter ports, making it easier to switch from left to right handed shooting configurations, a variety of accessories such Sun and Laser Protective outserts and VPU compatibility (Provided that the correct exhale valve cover is used). The mask is incredibly lightweight and sits close to the face, which decreases user burden when the mask is worn and increases comfort when shooting or aiming. The LBM is currently used by Canadian and Australian armed forces. www.fragoutmag.com
