corset, but it wasn't comfortable at all (mostly sleeves
and arms, waist area was good). XL size is nice, I even
have some space under it to wear another layer, like
Ultra Shirt.
As I don't have many comments regarding the body
part, sleeves are a different case. They are too tight for
me and are made of rough fabric, so if you are wearing
something long sleeved which is not slippery either –
you better hold these sleeves by cuffs
Hood – nicely fitting, quite tight, warm, so exactly how
the hood should be like.
What I find lacking is a welt on the bottom edge – I
would prefer this over those zippered slits, but I know
it is one or another. That's why there are zippered
slits - easy to open and can when kept that way, the
bottom can be secured with the magnet, which holds
surprisingly well. By the way, it sticks to everything fer-
romagnetic. In my case it is Leatherman Tread, which
is annoying. Slits are indeed helpful when reaching the
belt gear, but for the range I prefer something that is
shorter (like flyers) or can be tucked into trousers. With
the hoodie on, access to the first line is just acceptable.
When used as a civilian, these features can be appreci-
ated, when it comes to reaching the belt or even pock-
ets underneath (if the layer under has these).
Muff pocket is nice, capacious, well secured (magnets
once again with their pros and cons) with two genius
internal pockets. The iPhone in the UAG case sits there
well and fits perfectly. That is a plus in my book.
Summing up – nice design, nice fabrics, even nicer
quality, but all of it is for fans. If you are not a fan of
anorak-type clothing, Ultra Hoodie is not for you de-
spite its pros.
