names is a different story) was of- fering P250 hammer-fired pistols. At the very beginning, the P320's were available with basic variants – Full Size, Compact and Subcom- pact with different barrel lengths (also with threaded barrels), but since that time the whole line up was expanded. At the moment of writing, there are multiple duty and commercial variants in different calibers (9 mm Parabellum, .357 SIG, .40 S&W and .45 ACP) and also optics-ready ones (RX). The US Army M17 pistol comes with Full-Size grip module and 120 mm long non-threaded barrel. The M18 is based on Carry grip and has a 98 mm long barrel. Both "frames" and "slides" are PVD coated in Coy- ote Tan color. Both pistols are op- tics-ready and feature the cut out for Leupold DeltaPoint Pro MRDS mounting footprint. The optics cut-out is covered with black plug when not used. The iron sights are SIGLITE tritium sights for aiming in low-light and no-light condition - the rear sights are integral to All buttons and levers are dou- bled making handguns fully ambi- dextrous. There are striker safety and a disconnect safety plus firing pin block and external ambidex- trous safety switch thumb levers on the grip. The latter were re- quired by the MHS program and are non-standard for the P320 fam- ily (they might be purchased sepa- rately but all standard versions of P320 have only internal safety sys- tems). Initially, the controls were color-matched with frames but ultimately, the US military decided to change the color for solid black due to problems with coating wear- ing down during the use. The other MHS difference is a slightly rede- signed slide release lever (smaller profile than P320 one) and loaded chamber indicator (LCI). The M17/ M18 are chambered in 9×19mm Parabellum and are unable to adopt other calibers or frames be- cause of the spanner screw on the frame's chassis. The MHS pistols are delivered with three magazines – one 17 round magazine with flat base pad and two 21 round magazines with extended base pad. Safaril- and Modular Handgun Holster Kit based on 7360 ALS/SLS commer- cial holster comes with every pis- tol. MHHK, with two belt mounts and thigh panels, are available in FIREARMS
