Allen Key. The imperial Allen Key. I went to fellow armorer and he was able to solve my problem. Now my gat is pure sex. It works great, even though the sight sits higher than in G45 MOS (undercut in the slide is deeper). BTW, the legacy ACRO mounting plate is heavy (almost half of the weight of the sight it- self). Side note – the rear sights of M17/M18 are affixed to the optics undercut cover, so if you are going to remove it, you are losing backup irons. But, hell, I can live with that. Shooting with M18 + ACRO combo is awesome. I love this setup. When my SIG was at the armor- er's, he also did some tweaking on the trigger. It is smoother now and less pull force is required. I can shoot faster and better now. When compared to the G19X factory trig- ger (which is, Glock-wise, very good one), the standard trigger in M18 is at least two steps ahead. Under the barrel, on the 1913 rail, I have the Streamlight TLR-1 HL in Flat Dark Earth color matching the gun. Initially I was considering the Surefire X300 but after trying it out I decided to ditch this idea. It looked fugly. I carry my combo in Safariland 6360 RDS holster. I was using dif- ferent Safariland holsters for years and this version, for P320 with MRDS, has a protective cap for op- tics. I am considering buying the USGI MHHS holster kit for my gun too when it becomes more avail- able. Just to sum up. The SIG Sauer M18 is a perfect compact for "military/tactical" dynamic shooting. It is not a match gun but after some training I bet you can get some good score with it. To this moment I had no issues with the gun, it's very "user-friend- ly" and easy to mod. Any cons? Price tag I guess… www.fragoutmag.com
