The method of replacing the lenses is the first thing. Seemingly, it's not overly complicated, because you have to squeeze them out and push new ones in, but I prefer such a way of changing lenses, in which I don't have to grease my fingers on their surface to avoid later cle- aning before putting them on the nose. Unfortunately, this is unavo- idable here, because even when I hold the lens through a cleaning cloth, I still smear it somewhere with those fingers. But for that, the embedded lenses sit in such a way that there are not too many things in the world that will move them off their posts. That's a definite plus. Disadvantage two, the biggest one. Lenses fog up almost immedia- tely after taking them out of the box! Okay, I'm exaggerating, but the tendency to fogging is cruel. Yes, I use them every day, yes, I ride in them in the car, I even use them at the shooting range, but only for activities where I move rather slowly. When trying to wear them with a helmet on a hot day, I stopped seeing the world in maybe two minutes after putting the glasses on. And I didn't even start moving, I was just preparing my rifle for a drill.... How you can use these glasses with that extra seal (not included, thankfully) protecting them from dust, I have no idea. I spoke with Ops-Core representatives and yes, they are aware of the problem and are supposedly doing something to eliminate it. I wonder if they will succeed.... It would be good, because for me Mk1's are great, but for the purpose for which they were designed, i.e. for all sorts of tactical applications, they are simply not suitable because of this damn fogging. I regret it a lot, so as a consolation I laze around in them for less physically demanding activities while waiting for new lenses. Which, after all, I can replace myself in a matter of tens of seconds. EQUIPMENT
