Lotos Ops-Core MK1 are advertised everywhere as the best eyewear for special units... Well, it's probably a catchy marketing slogan to make you spend any money to feel elite. I'll let you know in a moment whether I've joined that elite group. The premium Mk1 come in a gray cardboard box with a tacky sticker - sorry, but a mediocre start. Then we pull out this Grail and it gets better. The glas- ses make a super impression from the start, the aluminum build gets the job done. You can feel it's a premium product. Immediately we have the impres- sion of a durable and modern design, which is certainly worth any money. The Mk1's are well-fitted, the frame is rugged, and the arms/ear cups offer durable resistance when trying to adjust (meaning they won't deform on their own). I put them on the nose and firecracker, the look +1000, and the mirror tells you who looks best in this city. Now a moment to cool down, in the shoddy box there are interchangeable lenses in orange-yellow, a microfiber bag serving as a lens cloth, a logo sticker and warranty papers, shabby for such a price on the shelf. My glasses are gray framed and have tinted lenses - everything looked extra in the photos, and in reality it's a light gray, falling into matte aluminum. It's probably a matter of taste, but I was disappointed with this color, while the Tan ones are already great. Well, but it's just the color of the frame - the important thing is that the glasses do their job. MK1 immediately got on the motorcycle with me, which went to the shooting range, and there on a sunny day they could prove themselves. In fact, now I could write you how great they „suppress" the glare of the sun, reflections and how perfect the angle of observation is in these, how well they fit hold the head, well, and they look great even on an ugly face. You can jump, hang or roll in them and they should not slip off your face. This is partly true, the glasses work and make you safe, because, of course, the lenses have the right strength, anti-lasers and fabrics (installation or replacement is trivial, because the seals are well-fitted), well, and you can look more elegant than usual. This is in fact the case, but suddenly something changes, the contoured nose piece starts to pinch and, combined with a sweaty face, the comfort disappears, the frame, although fitted after a hard battle with vice, causes the glasses to squeeze my head and I start to get irritated, and finally - they got fogged! Yes, I didn't even run, and they fogged up. I thought that there must be something wrong with me, well maybe there is, because I adjusted the glasses from the beginning, dried my face and, hoping for a better future, started to test it fur- ther. I don't want to bore you with descriptions of these tests, my conclusion is that for me these glasses are an absolute design firecracker, a great quality product, but they don't cooperate with me, I can't get along with them, they evaporate, they are somehow so „clumsy" to use - and I know what I'm writing about, because I use glasses of several other products for special forces, tho- se made of aluminum too. Describing to you my impressions over the course of several months, my conclusion is that sometimes there are products that are not as versatile as they may seem, I even consulted my observations with a team that also tested Ops-Core Mk1's and... had similar feedback. Of course, it should be remembered that these are only my feelings and it doesn't have to be like that at all, and this model of glasses can fit someone else perfectly, can perform well in different conditions and bring much, much joy. Too bad it's not for me. EQUIPMENT
