such accessories as weapon lights. The handguard links the upper
receiver with the connector improving the overall stability and decreasing
risk of possible play between those parts. Upper receiver, of course,
features the MIL-STD-1913 rail for optics. Handguard is also anodized
with Type III hard anodization process and is currently available in solid
Black, FDE and Steel Grey color with more to come in the future.
Bolt carrier group features 8620 steel bolt carrier and 9310 steel bolt.
All outer parts might also be finished with RAL or MIL-SPEC HIR-146
polymer paint coating.
The 9 mm Para version of SOG-LE is particularly interesting. It is going to
be available in two varieties. First will be typical, blowback operated, but
the other is going to be a short-stroke piston driven gun. Currently the
piston gas system is under testing and it is aimed for waterborne use and
maritime environments. It also features the extended flared magazine well
for faster and easier reloads. Additionally, there are dedicated muzzle devic-
es and silencers developed for this pistol caliber carbine. PCC will be fed
from GLOCK pistol magazines for increased compatibility.
