If you can't find the Comp, maybe
you can emulate it with Aimpoint
PRO/CRO which are very similar si-
ghts). For Aimpoint you would also
need a proper mount (KAC or Wilcox).
Then you should get a laser po-
inter, AN/PEQ-2 or AN/PEQ-15
ATPIAL depending on era. For the
US military, Steiner DBAL-A2 aka
AN/PEQ-15A were less common
than ATPIALs. One last thing would
be the bayonet, M7 is way too old
and I would recommend the M9 but
it is helluva expensive. Well, cloning
is not a cheap hobby.
FN 15 M4 ON THE RANGE
I have already shot a bit with this
gun and I must admit that it is one
of my favorite weapons - a simple,
MIL-SPEC gun, and it gives a lot of
fun to shoot.
For a long time I have been using
solid grease to lubricate the we-
apon, which, in my opinion, works
better than oils, and in addition, it
makes it work almost sensationally
smoothly, both when reloading and
when shooting.
While firing, its impact on the sho-
oter is low and very pleasant - the
gun does not kick, is not stubby, and
is easy to keep on target. Of course,
my M4 has PEQ on the front but in
my opinion the key factor here is the
heavy barrel, which changes the ba-
lance of the weapon, although the
carbine doesn't seem to be heavy
on the front.
The trigger works identically to that
of the M16A4, because it's the same
part - resistance of about 3 kg, with
no idle movement, with a clear bre-
ak, but not requiring the shooter to
wrestle with it.
Accuracy? While using the Aimpoint
red dot, without much problem, you
can get about 1.5 MOA accuracy,
which is good for a rifle. I checked
several types of ammunition and
