@ SLIDE
All Gen 6 models will be factory-prepared
for micro red dot sight (MRDS) mounting
via the ORS (Optical Ready System). The
previous MOS system, based on metal
adapter plates, has been replaced by
ORS. In this new solution, a polymer shim
is placed into the slide cut, and the optic
itself is screwed directly to the slide, which
features four screw sockets. The shim is
intended to stabilize the sight and dampen
the G-forces it is subjected to during firing.
Essentially, it works as a crushwasher.
The revised mounting system simplifies the
installation process, eliminating potential
issues with mounting screws that are too
long (which in the MOS system could lead
to extractor malfunctions or issues caused
by excessive use of Loctite). Additionally, it
reduces the weight of the mount, improves
the security of the optic's seating, and
allows for a lower bore axis compared to
the MOS system. Regarding the ejector—
in the new generation, it has been moved
and redesigned. This requires a different
field stripping procedure but is intended
to increase reliability and eliminate the
aforementioned problems stemming from
red dot mounting. Vertical serrations have
been applied to the front and rear of the
