slide to improve grip during racking or press checks. Unlike Gen 5, these are deeper at the top and shallower at the bottom. The internal geometry of the slide and striker has also been redesigned. The ridges in the firing pin channel have been raised and the lug shape modified to prevent illegal conversions to full-auto—an aftermath of recent issues in the USA. Last but not least — the changes mentioned above have also improved the weapon's aesthetics. Seriously, believe it or not, the GLOCK is no longer just a „block"; it has gained subtle curves and rounding. It's still obviously a GLOCK, but as many say, „it's somehow different, looks better". @ RECOIL ASSEMBLY The recoil assembly is a bit of a „blast from the past," specifically to Generation 3, as it is now a standard, single flat-wire spring on a polymer guide rod rather than a dual-spring assembly with metal sleeves. According to the manufacturer, this assembly is sufficient, reduces design complexity and weight, and since all Gen 6 GLOCKs will currently be chambered only in 9x19 mm, it was decided that nothing more was necessary. www.fragoutmag.com
