A history of the RADMOR starrs on 19th November, 1947 when in the District Court in Gdańsk were registered an enterprise under the name: The Maritime Radio Service of the Ships Ltd. in Gdańsk (Polish: Morska Obsługa Radiowa Statków Spółka z o.o. w Gdańsku). A company was founded on the initiative of the Union of the Polish Shipyards, Gdynia-America Line and "Dalmor". At the beginning The Maritime Radio Service of the Ships Ltd. employed 7 people and was located in the basements of the Gdańsk University of Technology. Its task was to provide services for the exploited Polish radio equipment, a certification referred to choosing radio equipment, an intermediary in their acquisition, as well as installing radio equipment. A company began operations from maintenance and repairs of the equipment which was saved from the war damage. In the vast majority it was a "miscellany" of products of the different companies. No workshop RADMOR jis the largest manufacturer of mobile radio communication equipment in Poland. The users of produced in this company communication systems are mainly Polish companies and state services, such as Police, Fire brigades, Border Guards, and, of course, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. The RADMOR military radio stations are used also in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and in the North Africa. and measurement equipment caused that a basic capital of the company were skills and experience of its employees. In 1949, according to the decision of the Minister of Navigation of 8th February 1949, MORS Ltd. was dissolved. In its place a state enterprise was set up, divided under the name: The MORS - Maritime Radio Service of the Ships (Polish: MORS – Morska Obsługa Radiowa Statków). A modest 20-person crew received it as a testimonial of the current achievements and creation of the perspectives for the future development. The first symptom of the upcoming changes was moving a registered office of the company from the "University basement" to the barracks of the previous repatriation camp in Gdańsk.
