– but only on the right rail (a flashlight does not fit to the left one because of the battery chamber interfering with a protector shell). The other solution in such a situation is sticking a strong piece of the Velcro tape in the rear part of the flashlight body and mounting it just above a mounting rail – however, it is suggested to protect it additionally against falling off. The flashlight without any problems cooperate with the ARC rails although in the case of some helmets (for example MSA TC500/800) it is possible to assembly them only on one rail (right or left, depending if it is a CHARGE or CHARGE PRO flashlight). It is due to the design of the rail itself – its inside part enables for a problem-free inserting a flashlight mounting, but a profile does not allow to mount it in the position under the helmet edge. A flexi-neck gives great oppo- rtunities in terms of the lighting directions although has a certain disadvantage – once adjusted is easy to be shifted, if one catches by, e.g. a tree branch with it. Certainly, it can be adjusted again in the desired position without any problems, but when turning a flashlight on, one can be sometimes surprised. To avoid such a situation, some users stick a head of the flashlight with a piece of the Velcro tape and strap it to the helmet in the fixed position. Despite certain restrictions (it takes a lot of space on the rail) Princeton Tec CHARGE is a nice piece of the gear, almst a must have! www.fragoutmag.com
