The HK MP7 receiver with pistol grip, receiver plug and front cover were made from black polymer (the MP7A2's receiver
is in fashionable RAL8000 color). It is ambidextrous, so all the controls (safety-selector, magazine release, bolt release) are
doubled. The magazine well is inside the pistol grip (just like in Polish PM-63 RAK or Israeli UZI SMGs), the ejection opening
is over the grip at the right side and its fitted with a brass deflector. The MP7's stock is extendable – again it is a double flat-
strut stock very similar to the PM-63) and can be locked at one of three positions length-wise, with a rigid rubber buttplate.
There is a pivoting folding foregrip – which again reminds one of the PM-63. The MP7A2 lacks the foregrip – its place has been
taken by a three-side MIL-STD-1913 rails assembly, and there's a HK GLM rail mounted folding foregrip added.
The cocking handle is AR-15 style, at the rear end of the receiver, over the stock, where it is within easy reach of both the
right-handed and southpaw shooters.
