UTIlIzING THE TACTICAl lIGHTS The choice of tactical light depends on each shooter's needs, convictions and his/her financial standing. The light might be activated with support hand thumb – and then it would be placed on the right side of the rifle. It would also be placed there if one is using a tape switch. Actually, the taclight for a right-handed shooter should always be placed either on the right side or under the rifle in bore axis. With some modern, smaller models, one can put them on the left side, but then better be prepared for inadvertent activation in certain conditions. The light should be placed on the outer side of the weapon. Placed on the inner side, where slinged rifle comes into contact with body would become problematic. Utilizing the light in conjunction with a rifle is a separate subject bordering on tactics. FIREARMS TRAINING
