AddITIoNAl SIGHTS And finally the subject of a back-up sight to fire the rifle mounted offset to a side. This technique is being used for the firing flat prone, or on one's back, or firing over the barricade – like over the hood of a car or a long wall. Some prefer a BUIS offset at an angle of 45 degrees towards the main sighting plane, which is a budget option for those few shots from a difficult position. Those who can afford, go the whole hog and mount a micro red dot as secondary. The ability to fluently transfer between the main and secondary sight is very impor- tant. One thing is sure – using a back-up sight facilitates using the minimal covers with minimal exposure. www.fragoutmag.com
