Here we came back to the survival itself which is pres- ent during the army training but in the restricted spec- trum. Once in a while it ap- pears as the course, some- times are held the SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resist- ance and Escape) trainings and that is the end. But for instance the survival tech- niques are frequently used by practically every sol- dier acting as a part of the green side tactics. During the preparations to perform every task or a operation we always yourselves a question: "What should we take?". And it is this come back to the roots of the sur- vival since just this amount of the equipment and its appropriate selection will cause that in the field will be easier and more difficult for us. One of the most needed things is a survival kit. We use it in the situations where everything went wrong. In the nomencla- ture it is the SERE, E&E (escape and evade) mode or operating in the isolation from the friendly forces. In brief – it is about a sit- uation when we are left behind alone, with a minimal amount of the equipment and we must manage without an external as- sistance. Many soldiers will laugh under your breath because they think it does not apply to them. Un- fortunately, a truth is quite dif- ferent. Over the last years it A survival has become very popular lately and not only among the civillians, but also in the military circles. Why? Partly it is due to the marketing of the equipment manufactures – the colourful pictures on nearly every military blog and in many military magazines scream at us that something amazing has been just developed what you miss in our equipment. I am not writing that it is wrong since the novelties and a fresh attitude to the subject are important – you will see even how a weight of the basic equipment has changed throughout the last 30 years. However, the innovations are something different than a pure marketing and advertisement of something what has been existing in the army from time immemorial.
