happened many times that the planned operation turned into a struggle for one's life and not with a carbine, but using the legs and a compass. In practice it was an es- cape and a survival. In order not to be unfounded I recall here even the last such exposed operation under the codename "Red Wings". How to minimise a risk and prepare yourself for such a situation when we will be forced to scramble through the area occupied by the enemy? Besides a mental preparation, a great motivation and a knowledge (and these are the principles) an equipment is also of impor- tance since it is just well selected helps in solving var- ious problems. Some people would say that the most important is a will power, and an equipment is an addi- tion. That's right. But it is better to have a will power and good boots than a will power and go in poor shoes or barefooted. The equipment, motivation and knowledge are an inseparable trio and one should know how to use each of these ingredients. Today we will have a close look at one of the basic kind of the equipment which is met in the military survival: a survival kit. A military equipment is commonly divided into a so called lines. In second line we place an equipment for the fight, in the third line an equipment for the existence. The ba- sic, the first line constitutes the items which we always have with us; they serve us for alive. The probability that we will lose a rucksack and LBE is not great, especially that a soldier never acts alone. However, it is better to be prepared for such an alternative therefore a basic survival kit should always be near our body. As we know that should be close to us so one can be instantly aware if we can comfortably wear such an equipment, it cannot be nether too large nor too heavy. Then will hamper and obstruct what will end in transferring it to the second hand where it will be exposed to be lost together with the remaining equipment. SURVIVAL KITS
