B-3 life vest, personal floating device commonly referred as Mae West because of the busty Hollywood star from 1940's. It was automatically inflated from CO2 cartridge and has also tube which allowed to inflate it manually. Parachute, Type T5 Assembly: In 1941 United States Army decided to introduce its first parachute – the T5. It was test- ed since 1940 and the trial jumps were done by test platoon from Airborne School. The rounded chute has 28 feet (853 cm) diameter and was sewn from 28 gussets (from four parts each). At the beginning, the nylon fabric chutes were white or dyed with plain olive color. Since 1943 nylon fabric was dyed in spotted camouflage pattern. EQUIPMENT
