GLIDER INFANTRY
Beside paratroopers, the glider infantry also took
part in fights in Normandy. These were infantry
soldiers delivered to the battle field with gliders.
When they left the board of transport gliders,
they become usual Joes. Their equipment was
more similar to the infantry regiments than to the
paratroopers.
