ESS Rollbar ESS Rollbar have two separate lenses that are connected together with a frame, so that they look less aggressively than the regular tactical models (e.g. ESS Crossbow). The design of those glasses is more low-profile than. Thanks to this they are unobtrusive and may be worn with plain clothes. Large, separate lenses and a robust and thick frame give the glasses an old-school look, although the designers tried to make them not look archaic. The nose-piece is fixed and constitutes an integral element of the frame, while its pads are covered with hard rubber that p r e v e n t s the glasses from slipping out of your nose. The rubber is profiled in such a way that it efficiently properly sticks to the user's face, providing a high level of protection, while maintaining the maximum comfort and angle of view. But you must bear in mind – Rollbar glasses are made in „medium-to-large" size. Unfortunately, the sunglasses are not for people who have a small heads and faces – in their case, the wide front frame would make the visors touch the cheekbones of the user rather than being supported by the nose, so the glasses would be quite unstable. The lower parts of the frame are extended and profiled in order to maximally decrease the gap between the frame and the user's face – in the case of many models of glasses with thinner or smaller frames, tiny fragments may get through such a gap and cause eye injury. The temples are quite blocky – the part near the hinge that connects the temple with the frame is wider; this increases the protection of the eye socket. The temples become narrower near the end and become thinner. Thanks to this solution the glasses become lighter and, at the same time, more comfortable when worn with a hat, helmet or hearing protectors. Of course they are not so comfortable with hat as in the case of ESS Crossbow Supressor, which have been designed to be worn with hearing protectors, but, still, the difference, when compared to other products might be noticeable. The temples end with small holes, that you can use to attach elastic retention straps providing extra stability. However, people with large or medium-sized heads may wear the Rollbar glasses without s u c h straps – the www.fragoutmag.com
