glasses will be stable enough. The sunglasses are locked when in open and closed position. Opening and closing of the Rollabars requires suing some strength and the positions change in a discernible way. The frame is available in two versions – with a matte black or silver logo of ESS. Rollbar lenses are made of 2.2 mm polycarbonate with ESS Optics technology, which provides a clear, undistorted view and 100% UVA & UVB protectin. The lenses are coated with ESS ToughZone anti-scratch coating. This increases their resistance to scratches and decrease fogging. When it comes to frames with tight design, this is a very significant feature. The whole set includes two pairs of lenses – clear and smoke gray. As a separate product, the producer also offers versions like yellow, rust-colored, mirrored gray, as well as polarized. All lenses comply with MIL-PRF-31013 cause 3.5.1.1, ANSI Z87.1-2010, CE EN166 and US Federal OSHA ballistic standards. An interesting and innovative solution is the lens fitting and swapping that has been called Rollbar Lens Gate. Lenses are held in the frame with three wedges that work with their three respective sockets. Two of them, placed near the nose-piece of the glasses, are fixed, while the third one, placed near the hinges of temples, is movable. Swap of lenses only requires unlocking the keepers with your thumbs and, at the same time, closing the temple. After the keeper is unlocked, the lens may be easily swapped. In order to lock the clasp, all you need to do is to open the temple to its working position. The Rollbars comes with hard-foam zippered transport case, piece of cleaning cloth, elastic retention straps for fixing the temples and additional lenses. The last piece has been placed in a separate case closed with a Velcro strap in which there are two pockets for the lenses. The use of ESS Rollbar sunglasses: they are comfortable, do not have this aggressive "combat look" and they provide a good field of view. However, the field of view is slightly more limited than in the case of eyeshields (especially at the bottom and on the sides), but this is a common feature of around-sealed lenses. The fog effect is slightly stronger than in the case of glasses that are open from below, but it is not a great deal. The lens swap system holds them firmly in their place, but the swapping itself needs some p r a c t i c e . A f t e r y o u d e a l w i t h this slight difficulty, everything works really fine. However, you need to remember that when swapping the lenses, you should use the cleaning cloth, to keep the lenses clean after the whole process. The protection coating of the lenses serves its purpose really well – the fog effect quickly disappears and it is rather difficult to scratch the surface. The glasses weigh roughly 36 grams. Frames are available in three color versions: black with a subdued black ESS logo, black with a silver logo, and terrain tan with a silver logo. Unfortunately, there is no possibility of mounting Rx lenses in the frames, so people with visual impairments must use contact lenses when using those glasses. EYEWEAR
