ESS Crowbar ESS Crowbar is a product based on the design of Rollbar glasses. The significant differences is the design of frame, the shape of lenses and their changing system. The frame of ESS Crowbars glasses has open bottom, their weight was lowered to 29 g and the user has an extended field of view on this side. Thanks to the design that is open in the lower part, the airflow is better, so the lenses do not fog so easily. The upper part of the frame and the nose-piece remained unchanged. The temples are also almost the same as in Rollbar glasses. The only difference is the shape of the front part near the hinge and the minimally narrower temple arms. What is peculiar, if you compare both frames of those models, they seem identical, but the producer says that the size of Crowbar glasses is "small-to-medium", so for people with small and medium-sized heads. Obviously, lenses of the glasses are different. They have been extended to the bottom, near the bridge, and cut at an angle in the direction of the outer edge. They have also a slightly different upper part that works with the frame. The glasses have a lens change system that is similar to the one used in Rollbar glasses, but due to the lack of the lower part frame, they are mounted in a different way – though the Crowbar Lens Gate system. The system works similarly as in the case of Rollbars and the lenses are fixed in two points. In the upper part, the clamping is provided by ledges that work with the holder in the frame, while on the side – with a clasp. The clasp works just as in the case of Rollbars, while the lens is kept within its holder by two ledges (one in the frame, one in the movable part of the clasp) that work with the respective holes in the lens. The types of additional lenses, as well as the standards they comply with are identical as in the case of the Rollbar but these are not interchangeable. The set and accessories provided with the glasses is also identical (a www.fragoutmag.com
