day 3 a night passes without any surprises, only an internal part of the tent at his top covered with a thick layer of hoar-frost. i survived it thanks to a wild things gear high loft happy suit which walery took just in case – this had an impact on my decision on sleeping in the tent. Konstanty, who slept in the hammock said that it was simply hot there. i do not buy it – despite all i felt as a frozen sorbet. luckily, the well prepared camp-fire did not go out to the end. it was enough to add a few tiny twigs and after fifteen minutes we delighted with a tea brewed on a brew prepared from snow mixed with the needles. we pack up our camp, trying to cover the tracks of our presence. we pack up our stuff and we set off. it is noticeably warmer, we check-up – only minus 7 0 c degrees. it starts to snow. we have a blitz on the junkyard of the trucks which we noticed a half way be- tween cisna and the silent valley. now, we reached this place which can with- out any preparation be a scenery of the post-apocalyptic movie, b-class. a burial place of the forgotten and worn off to the limits trucks and tractors covers a small valley in the river bend. the rows of covered with snow vehicles look as if they passed away after a life full of suffering in the pre-internet era, and cabins without windows and doors make our blood run cold due to their inhospitality. maybe these is remaining of "The depot of the death" cult movie which significantly contributed to the image of the bieszczady mountains which is in us? amazingly, from a chimney over a roof of the pilling foundation of the truck bodywork which in the 1960s was used to the passenger transport arises smoke. somebody lives here. maybe it is a "varsovian" or a "Partisan'? after a while, a host of this area tells us stories about the wood transport which took place last summer. we acknowledge information that each vehicle which stands around us is roadworthy, faithfully operates from time immemorial and works well despite its, hmm … imperfections in disbelief. it is already dark and it snows a little bit. the yesterday shooting with the full sun was a classic weather bonus, today with a minimum amount of light – it is already a challenge. once again the canon 100–400 mm l is lens surprise us, and photos taken from a hand even with a great focal length are sharp. the picturesque places with a full of character scenery in a particular manner reflect a raw nature and a beauty of the place in which we are. it is getting dark. after more than 30 hours spent in the off-road areas we are coming back to our base. although Kostek urged me by all means to make an attempt to sleep this time in the hammock, above all i chose to spend a night in the cozy and comfortable bed. i like winter, but on my terms. www.fragoutmag.com
