The PZL-Świdnik developed and manufactured the
W-3RM Anacknda which serves in the Polish Navy.
There are six such helicopters in service and two
W-3 helicopters in the utility version. Now, in com-
pany, a contract for modernization of five helicop-
ters used by the Naval Aviation Brigade to the more
modern version of maritime rescue is being real-
ized. As a part of the works, the PZL-Świdnik unifies
an equipment to the single W-3WA RM standard.
The utility helicopters will be also adapted to the
SAR operations in the future. The contract foresees
also a training of the crews and technical personnel.
The Anaknda helicopters serve in the Polish Navy
for almost 24 years and during this period they took
part in more than 330 SAR operations.
