from him, as he said by himself, constituted a next tool to our toolbox. The tools, which we may apply or bury at the bottom, and use the current ones. After the presentation we knew primary types of the rooms, door layouts, so we had a certain basis on which we could construct solutions of all encountered situations. But enough lecture, it was time for practice. In this matter, what was important in the security issue, persons who was training using their own firearms, were asked for taking out the mobile assemblies and opening covers of the release windows, so that It would be noticeable from a long distance that we train without rounds and any accidental round would not appear in the vicinity of the chamber – a simple and very effective solution. The first part of the practical training was a shooting position, a change of fire conducting directions, moving with a weapon, running and stopping… In the latter case, it was preferred, a characteristic for the Israelis, thumping technique, maybe funny, but it works…. Eli paid his special attention to a certain weapon gripping. I do not know if always and all the time you have to grip so strongly your rifle, but on the other hand – an attempt to take over your weapon in CQB can happen any time. This part lasted for approximately two hours and we poured the first liters of sweat during it. I only add that a temperature of the rooms reached 32°C in the shadow. The next element, a so called "slicing of the cake", that is a technique of entering rooms in such a way that our exposition to firing by a potential enemy is minimized. The technique presented to us, together with a combination with, a so called point shooting, consisted in taking a control over an area from 0° to 90° in four movements so that the first goes a barrel, than a head, and finally a body. This technique, as any other, has its advantages and disadvantages, however when performed well, certainly leads to a success. When we learned an individual work it was time for a work in teams and moving so that effectively use an opportunity to conduct fire by two shooters, and at the same time restrict to a minimum level a possibility of being shot by a colleague before us. The rest of the day we spent at the room entrances, individually and in the teams, entering both a strong, and weak side. www.fragoutmag.com
