NACRE IN USE I have been using the Silynx Clarus PRO for the half a year now – it is my favorite hearing protection system, among six or seven ones I have. It works perfectly in most situations, and an exclusion are those when I play "mall ninja" and I dress up in all the tactical gear I can find in my wardrobe – then I use the Ops-Core FAST ballistic helmet with the Peltor ComTac XPi headset, even because I may connect to them the Radmor 35010 PRR radio. It is really an excellent system, which to tell you the truth has a few disadvantages, but they do not have a special impact on its usefulness. I will also emphasize something important – I have no problems with earbuds, but if you did not use them and you think about a purchase of, for example the Silynx Clarus PRO, so it would be better try the plugs (Peltor, Surefire) and checkup whether it suits you. Unfortunately, some people after 15 minutes of wearing something in the ear channel begin to go crazy. A size, weight and the carrying case makes it a perfect EDC piece. Yes, that is true – there is a very small number of situations, in which you must protect your hearing and, furthermore, with the active one, but during our work we often travel to the different places and it happens to us to do things accompanied by a very high noise level. Therefore I carry the Silynx Clarus PRO all the time long – I have just thrown it to my backpack and, if needed, I take it out. I does not disturb me on the everyday basis, because it is twice or three times smaller than the full-sized headsets. It works perfectly during use – I have tested it with both types of foams and, to tell you the truth, I cannot notice any special difference. I have used it during shooting from the various firearm (at the open shooting ranges and indoors), during heavy weapons demos, when the flashbangs have been used just next to me (indoors) or while riding the military vehicles, etc. In all those situations it has worked reliably and thoroughly I have immediately added the ear retainers that goes behind the ear. It is really very comfortable, because the manufacturer recommends putting on the earphones with a cable led over the ear and behind the ear concha downwards. It ensures a www.fragoutmag.com
