end of 2018 (commands in Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Kielce, Kraków, and Łódź), and the year 2019 will mark the beginning of the most extensive phase of organization of WOT, which will involve establishment of six brigades in the central and western provinces (one brigade in the province of Silesia with the command in Katowice, the remaining brigades in the regions of Opole, Poznań, Szczecin, Wrocław, and Zielona Góra). Still, a finished formation of the last brigades does not mean an end of the process of development of the Territorial Defense Force. It is expected that the whole system will be ready by the end of 2021. In November 2016, the commander of the Territorial Defense Force revealed that there was an intention to form a special forces TD unit with a command in Lubliniec (same location as JWK special forces units). It was also said that formation of other WOT special units was taken into consideration as well. All of the TD brigades formed by 2022 are to follow the model of light infantry in terms of their organization and con- cept, and are to be armed and equipped according to the needs and purpose. The structure of the essential sub-units of WOT is to be based on the following hierarchical organizational chart: battal- ion–company–platoon–squad. The main TD unit is to be a light infantry company. Each company will have a certain profile of operations, e.g. urban, mountain, ma- rine, and general. These profiles will be closely related to the geolocation and the demography of a given company's Permanent Area of Responsibility (PAR; PL: Stały Rejon Odpowiedzialności; SRO). At the company level, the PAR will be marked by the administrative borders of the district, and in the case of larger cities – of the commune (PL: gmina). Each sub- unit's profile will determine its equipment, including soldiers' individual equipment, as well as the dedicated training program. ANALYSIS
