"Territorials" are to take advantage of modified UKM-2000P (Rod) GPMG, WKM-B heavy machine guns, RGP-40 grenade launchers and LM-60D or LM-61 mortars as a support weapons. ZU-23-2 AA and ZUR-23-2 artillery systems plus Grom MANPADS will be used against air- craft threats. The anti-tank weapons will consist of grenade launchers, ATGMs, and MN-123 and MPB-Z mines. The means of transportation are to include: quads, ski-doos, multi-purpose all-terrain vehicles, and cargo-terrain vehicles. The weapons and the equipment belonging to WOT sub-units are to be stored at military unit warehouses and with military support units. Human resources are to play the most important part in the Territorial Defense Force. The precondition to form territorial forces – and to make significant savings – is to take advantage of the social inter- est in becoming a part of this new type of armed forces. WOT is to be composed of Polish citizens considered fit for military service on the basis of a certificate issued by a medical examination board, who meet the conditions to serve in the army. Apart from civilians, the ranks of WOT will be supplemented also by regular soldiers and "territorial military service soldiers" (TMS; PL: "żołnierze terytorialnej służby wojskowej; TSW), constituting the core of this type of forces. Regardless of the form of service, recruits and soldiers will be assigned to functions defined by their military occupational specialty. There will also be age-related limits for particular po- sitions. TMS soldiers will be able to serve until they are 55 (privates) and 63 (NCOs and officers). Every soldier will receive a pay according to their rank and to the number of com- pleted training days. According to the available information, the pay is to amount to approximately 450 zloty per month for private (around 110 US dollars). Soldiers will serve on the basis of a contract signed for the period of 1 to 6 years. The military service at WOT is to take place in the area of one's residence, based on two ways – on a rotation basis (during military training and exercise) and on an as-available basis (in the remaining time). "Territorials" are to be trained following a three-year system. The first year of training is to involve teaching the basics of combat and combat survival (the so-called light infantry basic training). The second year is to focus on improvement of specialty skills, according to MOS The third year, in turn, assumes consolidating TD sub-units at the platoon and company level, with a focus on teamwork. It will be also the time for certification of sub-units. ANALYSIS
