Formation of WOT in the presented form
is no doubt an ambitious and costly plan.
According to some recent information,
there is a concern that the resources
allotted form the formation and equip-
ment of several hundred new sub-units
in the period 2017–2019 may prove to be
insufficient. Another problem is the infra-
structure, or the absence thereof in some
of the areas where WOT units are to be
established. Then there's the issue of the
poor technical condition of the existing
barrack, warehouse, and logistic facilities.
Constructing new facilities for the fifth type
of armed forces may lead to a delay in im-
plementation of the program – and to an
increase in the expenses. The availability
of human resources to join the ranks of the
newly-formed units needs to be taken into
account as well, especially when there may
be a shortage of regular soldiers who are to
form the backbone of WOT units, including
experienced officers and non-commis-
sioned officers.
There's been also a stir caused by the MOD
underlining the Christian foundations to be
cultivated in WOT. According to official
information from MOD, "the organizational
affiliation and the outlook are not criteria
taken into consideration in recruitment into
the armed forces".
