VALKYRIE IN USE Gen 1 of Olight PL-1 WML we have received more than year ago, these were pre-sale promotional batch lights. Initially they made very good impres- sion on all of us, but after 150-200 shots fired, the light literally fall off of a weapon. At first we thought it was because of accidental opening of screw, but after re-attaching on the weapon, pressing the le- ver and firing dozen of shots Valkyrie end up on the ground again. What happened? First batch of WMLs has factory defect: incorrectly assembled rail mount that got loose even when the lever was locked correctly. After emails exchange, it turned out that manufac- turer knows about flaw, recalled the whole batch and send us brand new WML for improved batch. New light does not fall off from over a year, even if it is not taken out from the weapon and I am shooting pretty exten- sively, what means that Olight has finally eliminated the flaw. However we know, that one of our friends, customized the bad mount to the screw clamp, but I have in head the idea to weld with semi-automatic welder loosen element, what could bring the oldest PL-1 back to life. I really think that "quick mount" is useless – either you have a light on your weapon or you don't. I cannot imagine the situation where I carry a weapon in my holster without light and after I drawing the weapon out I have to put on the light and do it fast. And what's next? Where I can put my weapon so I do not have a proper holster? In my opinion, the next generation of Valkyrie should have screwed clamp as an alterna- tive for Valkyrie II. accessories
