Both plugs are interchangeable – you might put them in your left or right ear without changing their properties. And now, from the point of view of the user, the most important information – the whole earplug weighs only FOUR GRAMS. You basically don't feel them in your ears. The set of 3M PELTOR TEP-100 includes: • three pairs of 3M UltraFit replaceable tips in different sizes: Small, Medium, and Large, which provide sound suppression at level of NRR 23 (SNR=32 dB H=31 dB M=30 dB L=29 dB); • pair of 3M Skull Screws ear tips that provide sound suppression of NRR 30. The set of 3M PELTOR TEP-100 EU includes: • Large, which provide sound suppression at level of NRR 23 (SNR=32 dB H=31 dB M=30 dB L=29 dB); • pair of 3M Torque ear tips SNR=38 dB H=37 dB M=36 dB L=34 dB. UltraFit tips have the shape similar to... a Christmas tree and they are made of a soft plastic, while Skull Screws/Torque use polyurethane foam that tightly fills the ear channer. I have tried to spot the difference in design between Skull Screws and Torque, but technical documentation only suggests that different methods of certification were applied in the European Union (SNR) and in the USA (NRR). The set also includes a protection cord that can be attached to the earplugs to avoid losing them. DOCKING STATION Another element of the 3M PELTOR TEP-100 set is the docking station that is used for charging the internal batteries in the earplugs as well as a portable transport case.
