Crew put dirty hands on the limited edition 2017 ASX Cool Edition with the black contrast color of the roof, rear view mirrors, rear hatch, and two-tone alu rims. It's well-balanced combination of quality and price. It is lack- ing any advanced support systems or extensive electronics that replace the driver in the control over the vehicle. At a reasonable price, you get a spacious, simple, and well-de- signed car that perfectly fits in the urban environment. What is interesting, the car shares the same DNA with Outlander and good ol' of off-road masters, the Pajero and L200 pick-up. The 2017 ASX we tested gained our respect because it managed to take us out of a difficult situation. When we were driving to the military training area, we took the wrong turn and instead of a "civilized" forest trail, we ended up on a "tank road" used by heavy vehicles that weigh ridiculously more than ASX. A matter of taste In 2017 Mitsubishi ASX the designers made some cosmetic changes in the appearance of the front part, which was a definitely good move. The characteristic shape, which has been a little bit dull so far, gained on character. The bumper with halogens at the edges looks nice and in con- junction with the slanted headlight looks like a... jaw of a shark. The interior is a typical example of Japanese util- ity. Unfortunately, despite the new, larger screen of the main console and better plastics, there is still much to be done, especially if we bear in mind the quality provided by European manufacturers, who raised the bar very high. Although there are some minor shortcomings, we have to give a nod to the ergonomic arrangement, spacious stor- age compartments that are able to hold a large number of items we need during trips. ASX 2017 distinguishes itself with the possibility of taking a comfortable, high position behind the wheel that, in addition to the short hood and great visibility, allows the driver to fully control the space in front of the car.
