The L-3 Technologies/Air Tractor LongSword aircraft features a reinforced fuselage,
armored shields of the engine and the crew cabin (windows made of ballistic glass),
self-sealing fuel tanks, a fire extinguishing system, glass-cockpit avionics, Thales
Scorpion HMSD, a Wescam MX-15 EO/IR, and an AN/AAR-47 missile warning system
with an AN/ALE-47 CMDS. The weight of weaponary carried on 11 hard points in the
NATO BRU (Bomb Release Unit) standard is 2,800 kg max.
