Many years passed, and a sentiment to this an- gle-head gear remained – the original MX991/U are in the bpx together with the other reenact- ment stuff as they, simply, got old. Today they are large, heavy, powered with the huge D-cell batteries with short lifetime, and incandescent bulb, when compared with the modern LEDs, shines like a large candle. Nevertheless, there is no denying that a L-shape with a head arranged perpendicularly to the battery compartment is, simply, comfortable, especially when you at- tach the flashlight to the equipment or clothing, as well as when you hold the flashlight in your hand, because it does not require an unnatural bend of the wrist. Some time ago the Olight offer was expanded with two flashlights sharing the Fulton DNA. Think about its micro-version with modern internals. Meet the H1 and the H1R Nova. Generally, the flashlights are the same, except the fact the H1R is Rechargeable and can be externally charged (comes with rechargeable battery). The H1 Nova offers 100 lumens less than the H1R in the Turbo mode, but it works longer A few months ago, I received the Olight H1R and today I can write a few words about it. www.fragoutmag.com
