M i-8MSB-W to ukraińska wersja standardowego Mi-8 ze zmodyfikowanym napędem i uzbroje- niem. Zastosowano produkowane przez Motor Sicz silniki TW3-117WMA-SBM1W serii 4E o mocy maksymalnej 1104 kW (1500 KM), z wydłużonym okre- sem międzyremontowym. Śmigłowiec wyposażono w głowicę optoelektroniczną i przeciwpancerne poci- ski kierowane Barier-W. Maszyna może być uzbrojona również w wyrzutnie dla rakiet niekierowanych kalibru 80 mm, jak i starsze typy środków bojowych prowe- niencji rosyjskiej. Zastosowano również system stero- wania uzbrojeniem i wyświetlacz przezierny. Oryginal- ne analogowe wyposażenie pilotażowo-nawigacyjne wzbogacono o układ nawigacji satelitarnej, transpon- der, radiowysokościomierz oraz nowe radiostacje lot- nicze. Kabina Mi-8MSB-W została dostosowana do użycia gogli noktowizyjnych. T he Leonardo Company announced that RUAS/ OPH (Rotorcraft Unmanned Air System/Optio- nally Piloted Helicopter) version of PZL SW-4 Solo helicopter has over 250 flight hours already. The test helicopter is used in OCEAN2020 program by European Defence Agency. The idea of program is total integration of unmanned airborne, surface and submarine systems with vessels and land control centers. Currently there are 42 entities from 15 coun- tries involved in the OCEAN2020 and the Leonardo is leading company. The SW-4 Solo is also in the HELI- MARIS program – the Modification of an Optionally Piloted Helicopter for Maritime Mission Performance. T he W-3 Sokol helicopter upgrade pro- gram to W-3PL Gluszec standard (com- bat support and CSAR variant) by Le- onardo. It seems that the offer will be finally accepted by Polish MOD as the military alre- ady announced technical dialogue for W-3WA WPW (Combat Support Version) moderniza- tion program for W-3 helicopters based on the experiences from W-3PL program.
