F
irst APC9 was brought to the
light in 2011. The APC556
(MIL/LE only, fully automatic)
as well as APC223 (sport, semi-au-
tomatic) were unveiled three years
later.
Both .223 APC assault rifles are gas
operated and employ short-stroke
gas piston located above the barrel,
and multi-lug rotary bolt which locks
into the barrel extension. Gas sys-
tem has manual regulator to ensure
reliable functioning with or without
sound suppressor. Both rifles have
lower receiver made from robust
polymer and upper receiver from
aircraft grade aluminum alloy. Inside
them is hydraulic recoil absorption
mechanism that strongly increases
accuracy and decreases to minimum
negative friction of moving parts
responsible for reloading the weap-
on. Lesser recoil force has positive
impact on durability of the weapon
and any optic-electronic sights that
might be mounted on top of it. Inside
the receiver there is also an extra
steel rail that guides the bolt carrier.
The location of external switches is
basically styled after the AR-15s, fir-
ing-striking mechanism was also ad-
opted from ARs. User has possibility
